As one of the world’s most well renowned research institution, Aarhus University takes this responsibility very seriously. Through our work with technology transfer and researcher entrepreneurship, we aim to create an effective innovation pathway for the benefit of society.

    In this talk, Jonas Brandt will give an insight into the thoughts behind Aarhus University’s innovation strategy. He will also lift the curtain on AU’s Entrepreneurship Hub, The Kitchen, where hundreds of students and researchers work to create startups based on their academic work.

    CLEAN is Denmark's environmental cluster, which connects companies, utilities, knowledge institutions, and the public sector with market-driven green innovation in Denmark and abroad.

    Søren Mayland serves as the Manager of The Spring Incubator and Den Gode By Co-Working Space. He is a fundraising and strategy specialist with a strong focus on Startups. With over a decade of experience in the Startup community, Søren's journey is fueled by his insatiable curiosity and constant craving for new challenges. Having gained hands-on expertise through his involvement with preseed investment company Capnova and Innovation Fund Denmark, Søren has also contributed significantly as a member of the leadership team at a rapidly ascending Startup. His diverse background uniquely positions him to fortify the WaterTech Startup ecosystem at The Spring.

    E-CIP Concept

    E-CIP Concept is founded by experienced forces, with solid knowledge and experience in engineering, commissioning and optimization of hygienic process plants such as dairies, breweries and biotech. We have developed and patented an optimized cleaning process, which can save significant amounts of water and wastewater during CIP-cleaning (Cleaning In Place) of large hygienic process plants. This without compromising on product quality and food safety.

    EWA sensors

    The company core capabilities are within advanced sensor technologies, signal analyses and Early Warning Analytics (EWA), creating smart and advanced sensors for predicting failures on rotating machines. Early Warning Analytics is based on combined sensor technologies (e.g. vibration and magnetic field), in several dimensions (x-, y-, z-dimension) and knowledge about fault signatures in time and frequency domains. This creates strong and robust parameters. The sensor analytics creates parameters for machine faults, but also process and operation parameters.

    Our mission is to deliver easily accessible data about water quality as well as reducing climate footprint. Business areas are within environment, groundwater, drinking water and reducing climate gas emission in WWTP. We have developed our own solutions in measuring nutrients in surface water and nitrate/saline in drinking water boreholes. These solutions we want to scale up for the purpose of exporting.
