- Visit R&D Institute - SDARI
The development of Chinese cruise building and presentation about the newly designed cruise ships, which will be built at Xiamen Shipyard.
- Visit to Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS)
First cruise ships (two plus two) made in China in cooperation with the world's leading cruise line - Carnival and cruise yard Fincantieri. The expected delivery is 2023-2024. And presentation on CSSC's new project on small-medium size cruise ships locally made in China. SWS is part of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC).

Tuesday 31 October: Haimen, Jiangsu
- Visit to China Merchant Heavy Industry (CMHI)
CMHI Jiangsu, a unit of China Merchants Group, one of the largest corporations in China, has entered into a framework agreement with Miami-based SunStone Ships for the construction of four (plus six) expedition vessels with the design, equipment and management supplied by Norwegian Ulstein. The expected delivery is 2019-2021.

Wednesday 1 November: Xiamen
- Visit to Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry (XSI)
The joint venture Fujian Luxury Cruise Investment Co., Ltd plans to build three luxury vessels at XSI. The first vessel is designed by SDARI with 900 passenger cabins and 2500 pax. The cruise navigation line will cover south-east and north-east Asia. The vessels will adopt the European cruise interior decoration standard. Expected delivery is 2020-2021.
Viking Line has signed a contract with XSI concerning a new passenger cruise ferry for the Turku–Åland Islands–Stockholm route. Delivery is set for 2020.

Thursday 2 November: Guangzhou
- Visit to Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI)
GSI is about to establish a cruise liner development company along with SWS and two ship design institutes. The company will undertake research, design and development of cruise liners and related facilities. GSI has built four 1,400 passenger RoPax ferries. GSI is also building two LNG powered passenger vessels for Swedish operator Rederi AB Gotland. These vessels will be delivered at the end of 2017.

- Visit to Genting / Star Cruises
Genting operates Star Cruises and Dream Cruises for Asians in Asia and international Luxury brand Crystal Cruises. In 2016 Genting bought four German yards - MV Werften - to realize the company’s global expansion plans for its three cruise brands. The establishment of MV Werften will capitalize on the growing demand for new cruise ships. The headquarters of Genting Hong Kong China office is located in Guangzhou. MV Werften is currently contracted for six newbuildings for Genting.
